Nice special offer 12500 dollar at a just rate of 13.5 percent

Posted by admin on December 30, 2008 in Credit Repair, Finance News, School of Loans

A lot of the merchant banks wil show you a loan rate that looks ok but feels mischievously or so after some time. Check out to see if the merchant bank who you a credit loan is ok. This is the reason why now you really need to inquire and get word if you can have a money loan at a effective percent rate of interest. A bank in Duluth Minnesota or so may have a total totally different actual interest rate for a 10000 dollar deferred payment then a moneylender in Bossier City Louisiana and that makes a big clear gap in your monthly pay backs.

You should be hopeful today to investigate if you have a nice deal or if you don’t with the bank that offers you a bank loan. Nowadays you can investigate interest rates quickly online and meet if there are possible sneaky traps you should know about. It doesn’t matter if you live in Fond du Lac Wisconsin or in Kalamazoo Michigan a honest online inspection will relieve you often a lot of problems. 11.7 percent loan rate may seem so clean but will it stay incessant after you’re going to refund your credit loan.

Hiking Vacations

Posted by admin on December 29, 2008 in School of Recreation

Hiking is the word used to describe an activity where exploration and taking on the adventurous path are the main highlights. From narrow gorges to deep valleys, tiny rivulets to immaculate sceneries - all that are part of hiking vacations.

But while hiking vacations are fun and exciting, there are a few things you need to consider when you go on a hike. If you have never taken hiking vacations before, check below for some hiking basics:

Your Backpack

The most important item to bring on hiking vacations is a backpack. And not just any backpack at that. What you need is a quality and comfortable backpack to carry your goodies in.

When it comes to choosing the right pack, there are a few things to keep in mind. One is to choose packs with wider shoulder straps as these are more comfortable than narrow ones. Just think how many stuff you’re going to have pack, and think about how long the trail is going to be. Your shoulders and back are sure going to suffer under the brunt of the weight. At least with a pack with wider straps, the weight is more evenly placed, giving your shoulders some measure of relief.

In addition, not only should you choose a backpack with wider straps, but you should also choose those with extra padding.

There are backpacks that come with an attached belt which goes around the waist. This is a tremendous help to support the weight of your pack. The size of the pack also matters. You should choose a pack that is big enough to carry all the items you have decided to carry. Of course, the rule in hiking vacations is to bring as little as possible, so your pack shouldn’t be so big it could rival a flatbed.

However, if you are in one of those hiking vacations that tour companies regularly offer, you probably shouldn’t worry about the number of items you bring since most of these companies offer to move the big baggage for you.

Water

This is not an optional item. You should always bring drinking water, even when the hiking trail you’re going to take crosses a river or follows its course. You can never be too sure about the purity of these waters even if by the looks of it, the stream looks clear and drinkable enough. Don’t take any chances. When you go on hiking vacations, you should carry enough water to last for the whole duration of your walk, or carry a few bottles and some water-purifying device.

Food

Another important thing that you should not do without during hiking vacations is food. Well, this is not exactly a problem if you are in one of the guided tours we previously mentioned since tour companies often offer lunches and dinners for their hikers. However, bringing extra ration in cases of emergency is recommended, because you never know when you’re going to need them.

Bush whacking. Bush bashing. Trampling. What in the world? Those are other names for hiking vacations, along with hiking tours, trekking, and backpacking. More info here - http://www.free-hiking-tips.info

How Do You Write Poetry?

Posted by admin on December 27, 2008 in Best Religion Resources

How Do You Write Poetry? by A K Whitehead

The very short answer is: don’t write at all unless you have to. The short answer is: in numerous different ways. A somewhat longer answer is: find the way that best suits you - that comes only from experience.

But, one might reasonably ask, what different methods are there which can be tried in order to get started? Well…

Don’t Wait For Inspiration But don’t take that as an absolute which suggests that one should not be inspired at all. Of course, we all want inspiration. Yet if we wait to be inspired for the whole poem, most of us will have taken the very short answer given above and we shall write very little and very infrequently.

You probably know the old adage about any form of art being ten percent inspiration and ninety percent perspiration. It’s mostly like that with poetry. The very short answer above is saying: write only when you feel moved to write and have something urgent to communicate. But don’t expect the inspiration to carry you through the whole poem. On some occasions it will but, at least in my experience, that will not happen all that often.

Inspiration can come in various ways. At one end it can come as a complete poem; at the other, it comes simply as an idea, a concept or a way of looking at something. Then the poem has to be built around that in some way.

How To Build A Poem This is getting to the nitty gritty of the question. The answer to How do I build or write a poem depends to some extent on what you are starting with. Suppose you have just had an idea, a concept, a way of looking at something. One might, for example, have a sudden flash of inspiration that a person’s life could be summarised by the array of cups they have in the kitchen. Okay, how might one approach the development of that?

First is to have some idea of the probable length of the poem. The cups/life idea might be interesting but it’s not going to stretch to the length of The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner. It’s going to be quite a short poem. In fact, with an idea of this kind short becomes very important. Trying to stretch it out will probably result in loosing any potential for impact.

So one is thinking of a few lines, and probably quite short ones. Next is the syllabic or the rhythmic structure of the lines. A great deal can be said about these aspects and so we can say very little in this short article. The way the lines are constructed should be contributing to the overall impact or impression made by the poem. Lines may have the same number of syllables, or some lines may be long and other short. Verses, like lines may be all of the same or of differing lengths. These aspects may be part of a deliberate overall scheme, or they may be due to the way you feel the poem should evolve. Experience will usually contribute to the development of these kinds of instincts.

The poem may also be one without thyme, or with rhyme at the end of each line, or with rhyming lines alternating or rhyming every third line and so forth. Alternatively, the lines may have internal rhyming in that two words rhyme within the same line.

Consider the following poem as an example.

CUPS Used to buy the cups in tied sets, batched identical or matching. But that’s a now flawed memory and for a long time we rhymed them into pairs, merging his and hers,

protocol of shape and colour. Now I buy only one-by-one,

each detached and unmatchable, self-chosen oddments on a shelf.

Note that: there are eight syllables in each of nine lines. There are no end rhymes but each line has an internal rhyme, though some are less obvious than others. In the first line buy and tie in tied rhyme. Due to the d in tied the echo of the rhyme is subdued or more subtle than otherwise. (Note also that there are different kinds of syllables, which we do not have space to discuss here)

Compare this poem with an alternative approach, albeit little different in length:

THE MUG-STAND On the mug-stand (a) handles once hung (b)

cups of pristine sameness (c) beautiful and aimless (c)

in the song they sung (b) at secondhand. (a)

Mugs are still hung (d) but different (e) shapes and colours, chipped, cracked - (f) and spaces from the fact (f) of life. Refluent (e) the song now sung. (d)

Now The Mug Stand has a much more complicated structure. There is no internal rhyming but the end-rhymes are arranged to give sometimes stronger, sometimes more subtle echoes. The letters at the end of the lines (a, b, etc.) indicate those which rhyme with each other. The pattern is the same in each verse so that, for example, the first and last lines in both are seen to rhyme.

Notice also that the syllabic length of lines vary within each verse but have the same pattern for each verse (i.e. 4,4,6,6,5,4,). The end of any line should not be chosen in an arbitrary way, but should add something to the overall effect.

Discipline In Writing Every poem you write should have its own form of discipline. Some people think that so-called free verse is easy to write and that one can do anything in such a poem. All this is untrue. These are ideas that contribute to a lot of bad verse.Good free verse is in many ways the most difficult to write, precisely because there is no obvious discipline enjoined on the writer by which the poem might be made to work. Yet somehow it does have to create a desired effect. Writing to a defininte pattern or rule imposes a discipline which, with some practice, will initially help one to produce rather better verse.

If you are just starting out to write poetry, do begin with rhymed verse. But try not to make the rhymes too heavy and obvious. Look for different words to create an effect rather than use the first that come to mind. Try an abab or abcabc type of structure rather than aabb.

Make every effort to avoid cliches. Using them is so easy a trap to fall into simply because they are phrases we have heard so often that they just creep or spring into our mind. A good poem has to have some degree of originality. Cliches are as irratating as fleas on a dog. Combe through the poem to discover any cliches - looking for phrases like Combe through! Are there any more in this paragraph?

When the poem is finished, it is good practice to put it away for some weeks. Then take it out and re-read it. Be severe with yourself! Remove anything which is not right (cliches, repeats of the same word, clumsy phrasing etc.) and re-work the poem until you feel you can do no better.

Then submit it to some publication which uses poetry. There is little point in writing poetry purely for oneself. Don’t be put off by rejections. Some editors may offer suggestions for improvement. Accept them if they seem valid. But keep submitting. Not every one will like what you have written. But you must like it.

In Divers Places

In Divers Places.

Isaiah 65:17-65:25

In Divers Places. A Look at prophecy and today’s headlines. How many here today know what the word Prophecy actually means? For a number of years now ,I along with many other ministers have been teaching prophecy more and more. From Websters 1828 Dictionary; Prophecy

PROPH’ECY, n. [Gr. to foretell, before and to tell. This ought to be written prophesy.]

1. A foretelling; prediction; a declaration of something to come. As God only knows future events with certainty, no being but God or some person informed by him, can utter a real prophecy. The prophecies recorded in Scripture, when fulfilled, afford most convincing evidence of the divine original of the Scriptures, as those who uttered the prophecies could not have foreknown the events predicted without supernatural instruction. 2 Pet 1.

2. In Scripture, a book of prophecies; a history; as the prophecy of Ahijah. 2 Chr 9.

3. Preaching; public interpretation of Scripture; exhortation or instruction. Prov 31.

Asia quake toll continues to rise

Rescuers piled up bodies along coastlines devastated by tsunamis that obliterated seaside towns in Asia and Africa, killing 23,700 people in 10 countries, the United Nations reported Monday.

Ukraine election challenged Can earthquakes be tamed? Deaths in Indonesia alone could surpass 200,000 official says. Devastation on a biblical scale. Teaching prophecy is different than to prophsi. 1Co 12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:[ many do not believe in the Gifts of the Spirit, which sometimes makes it hard for those of use who do, to teach prophecy]

Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.[ many say that revelations has been fulfilled already, this is a misconception and very dangerous]

I am not here today to prophecy but to shine light on Biblical prophecy. Lets read and learn together. Isa 28:2 Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.

Isa 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. [M.H. Isa 65:17-25 -

In the grace and comfort believers have in and from Christ, we are to look for this new heaven and new earth. The former confusions, sins and miseries of the human race, shall be no more remembered or renewed. The approaching happy state of the church is described under a variety of images. He shall be thought to die in his youth, and for his sins, who only lives to the age of a hundred years. The event alone can determine what is meant; but it is plain that Christianity, if universal, would so do away violence and evil, as greatly to lengthen life. In those happy days, all God’s people shall enjoy the fruit of their labours. Nor will children then be the trouble of their parents, or suffer trouble themselves. The evil dispositions of sinners shall be completely moritified; all shall live in harmony. Thus the church on earth shall be full of happiness, like heaven. This prophecy assures the servants of Christ, that the time approaches, wherein they shall be blessed with the undisturbed enjoyment of all that is needful for their happiness. As workers together with God, let us attend his ordinances, and obey his commands.[additional ref; Isa 65:17-19 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. Jos 14:9 And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God. Remember that God created good and not evil. Man corrupted the earth and it must be cleansed. If you noticed in Genesis every thing that God created He called good except when He came to man, for He knew that man would become disobedient and corrupt.

Eze 39:14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.

Pro 8:23 I was set up5258 from everlasting,4480, 5769 from the beginning,4480, 7218 or ever4480, 6924 the earth776 was.

[Strongs #s]

Mat 24:6-8 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. “but the end is not yet.” The end of what? Many take this as to mean the end of the world. This is not so, the world will not be destroyed but renovated. Isa 24:6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

Isa 14:7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.

Isa 24:1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.

Isa 24:19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.

Isa 24:20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.

There are countless scriptures that state that the earth will last for eternity but it will be cleaned by fire to renew it back to its origional state. God declaired that what He created was good and no where in scripture have I ever found that God ever destroyed that which was good.[ ref.Gen.1:1-10]

These next verses are also prophecy.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Luke 21:20-28 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.] Prophecy is being fulfilled before our very eyes. Petulance and famine in Africa, Floods and earth quakes in Japan, Indonesia and even in the United States. Wars and roomers of Wars, from Iraq and Afghanistan to Africa and the Russian Satellites. How much more do the people of the earth have to see before they realize that the end is drawing closer each day? How much more do the people of the earth have to see before they turn to the only one who guarantees safety?

How much more do the people of the earth have to see before they realize that there is another side of Jesus? Jesus will return but not as a babe, not as a Lamb but as a Warier in revenge for unbridled sin and corruption. A destroying angle bringing justice and righteousness upon the earth. How much more do the ministers of God have to see before they also start teaching prophecy, especially those that believe that Revelations is fulfilled? How much more? Eze 27:34 In the time when thou shalt be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters thy merchandise and all thy company in the midst of thee shall fall.

Jer 25:30 Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

“Therefore prophesy thou against them all.”

“The sea and the waves roaring;” ” This is the Beginning of Sorrows.” “Men’s hearts failing them for fear.” ” In the time when thou shalt be broken by the seas.”"Key words from God

Key words from God. Doom and gloom? No. Truth. The LORD shall roar from on high, and His words shall be fulfilled. Its time we all shouted the warning, Christ will not terry much longer. ars

Prayer Takes Many Forms

Prayer Takes Many Forms
Book Review -How Did Bible Heroes Pray by Mona Hodgson
Reviewed by Lisa M. Hendey

In her charming new book How Did Bible Heroes Pray (Kregel Kidzone, February 2005, hardcover, 24 pages) author Mona Hodgson helps children explore the concept of prayer and how to integrate it into their own daily lives. Hodgson points to the heroes children may be familiar with in the Bible and shares how each of these special people turned to God in prayer. For each example given, the author cites the relevant scripture passage for further research and edification. As Daniel turned to God on his knees, children are encouraged to pray to God using this posture. As Samuel lay in bed listening to and conversing with God, children are reminded that they too can take quiet time in bed to pray.

Next Hodgson turns to detailing situations when children might feel led to pray. Jonah’s fear, Job’s sadness and Jesus’ need for “alone time” with his father are all situations to which today’s child can relate. Reminding ourselves and our children that facing moments of uncertainty or disappointment with prayer is a valuable lesson we can offer our families and students.

This book is geared at children ages five and up, as each page features only a few lines of text. A noteworthy contribution to How Did Bible Heroes Pray is the artwork of illustrator Hollie Gillett, whose delightful illustrations feature a broad cross section of ages and races on a pallet of beautiful backgrounds.

The Desert’s Most Remarkable Dwelling

Posted by admin on in School of Recreation

On a recent hike in Arizona’s Sonoran Desert, I stumbled upon one of nature’s most remarkable dwellings. It wasn’t made by force of water, wind or sun. And it wasn’t made by any creature either - well, not quite. I’m talking about the Saguaro “Boot.” What in the world is the saguaro boot and what makes it the desert’s most versatile dwelling? The saguaro boot has an interesting story, one worth telling, and here it is.

The beautiful Gila Woodpecker (Melanerpes uropygialis) is native to the Sonoran desert and can be found anywhere the giant saguaro cacti are found. It builds its home in the saguaro cactus by drilling a hole in the side of the cactus and excavating a cavity for itself and its offspring. This cavity is usually a foot deep! When the woodpecker vacates this new home in approximately one year, other birds will then use it as their own.

Here’s the interesting part. In order to prevent water loss due to this new hole in its side, the cactus will form a callus over its exposed surfaces. This callus will remain inside the cactus as long as it lives and will act as a permanent waterproofing seal. This scab will also protect the cactus from other maladies caused by infection.

Once the saguaro cactus has lived out its life, and this can take 250 years, it will decay and disintegrate as all living matter does and it will leave behind this callus that once protected it. Because the Gila Woodpecker’s home started as a hole in the cactus and widened into a larger cavity, the callus when separated from the saguaro cactus looks very much like a boot. The boot, while caused by the woodpecker, is actually grown by the cactus as a defense mechanism.

Over its life time, the Gila Woodpecker’s home in the saguaro cactus will be the primary residence for dozens or even hundreds of birds such as the Cactus Wren, Kestrel or Elf Owl and when the cactus is gone, the boot will offer shelter to a variety of other wildlife such as mice, lizards, snakes, spiders and insects.

The next time you see a hole in the side of a saguaro cactus, think about all of the residents who will use the Gila Woodpecker’s nest as their home. Take a friend on a hike and look for the illusive saguaro boot. Nature is wondrous and its flora and fauna are remarkable. Get Outdoors!

Computerized Christians? Get Ready for the New Church!

Posted by admin on December 26, 2008 in Best Religion Resources

Isaiah 43;19 declares: “Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

A new thing? Try this one on for size: Just as the Apostle Paul brought the Good News to the Greeks, today’s latch key kids will bring it to the GEEKS!

Here’s what I mean. Does anybody remember those radical Jesus Freaks of the 60s and 70s? They’re still around. They became the pot-bellied Baby-Boomers we know and love today. These people seem to have become more conservative with age (having children of one’s own will cause that transformation). Many who were once yesterday’s liberals are today’s conservatives. They scorn the vulgar videos and movies of today’s youth and turn in disgust from the their nasty grunge clothes, pierced noses, and tattoos. These Boomers can’t stand the in-yo-face vulgarity and arrogance of today’s young no-commitment “slackers.”

To you pastors out there, I hate to break it to you, but these kids are the new recruits. These young people ARE the new Church. I call them the Omega Warriors.

Together, we Boomers must get over something that is much more than a generation gap. It’s the most paradigm of paradigm shifts because there is a total misunderstanding of these new recruits on the part of today’s “organized Church.” The Boomers must come to recognize the hidden sorrows faced by today’s “latch-key” kids . . . the heart-rending despair of their broken homes and the poor parental skills under which they were subjected as we’ve all discovered that TV makes a terrible surrogate parent. This is the stuff of their lives that makes them act “that way.”

Christians, gone are the days of the “one-talking-to-many” mediums, the talking heads of today’s Baby-Boomer Christianity. We are entering a one-to-one digital medium. These kids want to interact. They desire interdependency. They want to collaborate and dialogue with others. Common interests are drawing these kids into common communities. One quick glance at their Internet chat rooms makes this extremely evident. They’ll discuss anything. They WANT to commune.

SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING

Can we discern the spiritual side of all the apparent nonsense they force us to deal with? What can God do with so big a mess? Consider that the idea of connecting to one another in another space is inherently spiritual. The notion of a “covenant network” of allied individuals is certainly Christian. And, perhaps for the first time in human history, the Body of Christ can be perceived as being truly global, totally possible, and walking in more agreement than we ever imagined. How is this being made possible? By way of the Internet.

Nobody’s better at negotiating The ‘Net than today’s youth.

“It is important to fulfill the great commission by getting the saving Gospel message to the people who need it most,” claims Mark Harpt, President of the World Wide Christian Web. He continues, “The amount of ignorance about the truth of God is staggering, especially in countries that produce the greatest technological advances. These people need God and wireless Internet technology is a great way to let them know that the God who created the universe wants to enter into a special relationship with them if they will allow it.”

Sadly, many of today’s Church leaders - some of whom were yesterday’s radical Jesus Freaks - have largely missed what is happening right under their noses because they see the lowly computer as nothing more than a glorified office machine at best, a tool of the devil at worst. True, the predictions regarding the information highway may seem like so much hype today, but the wise Christian leader will prayerfully consider its impact in regard to tomorrow. Though computers may hardly seem to be of any significance where the future of the Church is concerned, the way the Church utilizes this tool may totally change Christianity on planet Earth as we know it.

The new millennium is a watershed moment in Church history. The Internet will soon impact the growth of the Church at a staggering rate and at aglobal level. The question is, will YOU be part of it? Some may say, “We’re miles ahead of the game at First Church! We have our own website….” Wrong! Again, for anyone to find that website, THEY must be looking for YOU.

The Church MUST make every effort to go to THEM!

SPIRITUAL CONSUMERS OR SPIRITUAL PRODUCERS?

Last Wednesday night, I was almost late for my Coffee Studio Bible study. Why? I saw a commercial for NBC’s Dateline with Stone Phillips in which a ministry team was performing an exorcism in a condo in North Carolina. Yes, we taped it for later but we watched it, too. When I finally joined the Coffee Studio group, some had been watching the TV there and had caught the show as well. Early in the program, Phillips made the statement, “As many as 10,000 exorcisms take place annually in the USA, most by evangelical Christians.” (I’m performing one this Saturday. We had one last month at a Bed & Breakfast, too, an Englishman. Man, I am REALLY enjoying Christianity, you?)

Regardless of one’s stance on demons and exorcisms, on that same video cassette, a friend included a segment from the 700 Club, a Pat Robertson interview with author James Rutz about his new book, “Megashift.” When my wife and I watched it, I was spellbound. After listening to Rutz, I ran upstairs to read what I could about his book, my wife following close behind. I found this quote, “If you read one ‘Christian book’ this year, make it ‘Megashift’ by Jim Rutz.” — Joseph Farah, founder of WorldNetDaily

Another book review read as follows: “The 1700-year nightmare is over. A megashift of spiritual power into the hands of ordinary people is about to overwhelm the world and put it into vastly better shape. Prepare yourself to take part in a total makeover of Planet Earth!”

It went on to say: “You are about to discover a new world where…

* Over a billion non-Christians may become highly active Christians in the next dozen years.

* A whole new form of Christianity promises to bring a far greater impact than the Protestant Reformation.

* Millions of ordinary people are doing miracles.

* God has brought hundreds ofpeople back from the dead, mostly in the last 15 years. These are not near-death experiences, but real resurrections of actual corpses. (NOTE: It’s true. In the last decade, 52 countries report dead being raised and diseases miraculously cured.)

“New book tells all: “Megashift” not only documents a wide range of miracles, but also spotlights hundreds of thousands of house-church teams around the globe that are producing a new culture of responsible freedom. In these teams, people are allowed to speak and interact. They often form deep friendships, dump their heaviest problems, turn into free and powerful spearheads of worldwide change, and get connected with God and man in ways that almost defy description. This is a “Megashift” away from spectator religion.

A GROWING OPPORTUNITY: 8% CHURCH GROWTH PER YEAR!

My home town boasts a community growth rate of about 3% annually; the local college, about 7% per year. This is for perspective. One item mentioned in Megashift was this: “There is a hidden world that already has 707 million evangelical/charismatic Christians who are growing by an incredible 8% a year. In the center of this shockwave are roughly 100 million in informal networks of committed circles who run their own show without buildings, paid pastors, or sermons. “Megashift” is a startling introduction to that surge of grass roots power and love, which is forming the culture you will soon live in.”

It appears God is using the rank and file, willing Believers everywhere more and more these days, and OUTSIDE the friendly confines of Churchianity at that! Rutz mentioned having met a 7-year old boy in India who died at age 5. The boy had scars from where he was burned by a power line. On the emergency room table for two hours, doctors could not revive him. The hospital contacted a church which called a 60-year old Indian woman to pray for the boy. She was illiterate; an “untouchable”; the lowest of the low in the Indian caste system. She prayed until 4 AM. The boy was alive with no brain damage or any other physical problems. When Rutz asked the woman if she had ever done this before, she replied that she had been involved in sixteen resurrections!

“The Church, as we have it set up now…is really not set up to handle it all so God is empowering people to work through small teams, house churches particularly, school churches, business churches and so forth…small teams where people are able to interact and work with each other…kind of like the early New Testament idea of going house to house…,” Rutz said.

Are you ready? Church leaders, is your Church infrastructure in place, or are you expecting these young people to come to Church, learn the prayers and hymns and when to say ‘Amen” and listen while you teach them where to sit, how to act…and expect them to do so for the next 70 years? Sorry, but young lions gotta roar!

Me? I contend that, not only are these pierced ‘n tattooed, navel-flashing, latch-key kids our latest raw recruits but that America’s corporate offices are going to be the place of another huge move of God as well. Such things HAVE to be so because we spend so much time there. Is the Church going to meet them where they’re at, or cling to its pews with both hands, serving the Institution rather than the Institutor? Just as Aquila and Priscilla were there, strategically in place to greet the Apostle Paul after his Damascus Road conversion, will you be there for these kids when they need you to be? Again, I’m NOT talking about greeting them at the door of a church building - I may be talking about going to their campus, joining forces with other denominations and pooling funds for a youth event (we organized one that included 26 churches, 9 bands and over 1,000 kids) or starting a Coffee Shop Bible study where they can relax and be themselves.

Anything to show them that you LOVE (spelled T-I-M-E) them.

I met with 30 people around a campfire a few weeks ago. We cooked steaks and chicken and sang with guitars. We prayed about revival, too. People, we were being the Church and no less than 5 denominations were represented there. This past weekend, we knocked ondoors and prayed for people at their doorsteps - Lutheran alongside baptist alongside pentecostal alongside Church of the Nazarene. Eleven denominations in all, taking out town by storm for the third time (we’re going out again in mid-September). Though it may appear that Satan has strategically managed to make workaholics out of us and has systematically drawn millions of mommies out of their homes in an effort to join the workforce, thereby creating legions of latch-key kids, the TRUTH is that our God WILL get His Church back (I’m not talking buildings, folks). God WILL have His way. Satan ALWAYS shoots himself in the foot.

Be a part of this upcoming revival. It’s not going to look like anything any of us have ever seen.

Protect Your Privacy

Posted by admin on in Online Security Resources

The internet is evolving rapidly as its uses grow in number and variety. More and more users are shopping online, chatting with their friends, or just browsing the web for something interesting. But the net isn’t an entirely safe place; some people out there are waiting to take advantage of you and invade your privacy. There are some special kinds of computer program that can help to protect yourself against such threats. Let’s see how a simple free spyware remover program can help.

How does it work?
Spyware programs are little pieces of software that transmit information about you and your computer to someone else on the internet. It can follow your net usage to see what kind of web-sites you prefer, which programs you use or where you do your online shopping. Some can read private documents, including e-mail and credit card numbers. To prevent this from happening, it is advisable that you protect your computer using a free spyware remover.

How does spyware get on your computer?
You don’t install spyware, but spyware gets installed on you. They are often part of other free programs
that you download from undependable sources on the web or borrow from your friends. It’s like an add-on that may or may not be mentioned in the small print, which is something that nobody ever reads.

How do you recognize spyware?
If you’ve been experiencing unexplained pop-ups lately, or been receiving a lot of unwanted mail, then try to remember if you installed some unverified software on your machine in recent times. If yes, then it is quite probable that you have spyware on your computer. In some cases, you may receive unwanted info about products that are somehow related to something you told a friend in a past e-mail conversation. If that keeps happening, it’s almost an unmistakable sign of spyware activity.

How do you remove spyware?
The simplest and easiest way to get rid of spyware is to install a free remover that you can download from the internet. Often internet service providers know about the problems created by spyware, and can recommend you a good free remover or they can give you one. Just ask them which one is right and tell them what symptoms you have been experiencing: too much spam, or your computer slowing down because of too many pop-ups. It is very easy to install a free spyware remover, just by following the steps and clicking on the ‘next’ button. If you think one program is not effective, you can always uninstall it and download another.

How to prevent spyware?
You can prevent spyware by reading up on web security and by being choosy about what software you install on your computer. After all, prevention is always better than cure. But just to be on the safe side, it is a good idea to keep a free spyware remover on your machine and check things once in a while. If you want a more professional solution than the free versions provide, you can buy a pro spyware remover. Remember, you have the right to your privacy, and nobody has the right to invade it, unless they have a valid legal/moral reason or your specific consent.

What is a Barcelona chair?

Posted by admin on December 24, 2008 in Uncategorized

The Barcelona chair, which is considered to be a modern classic and one of the most elegant chairs of the 20th century, was designed by Mies van der Rohe. He designed the chair at the International Exposition in Barcelona in 1929. Mies van der Rohe drew inspiration for his design from an Egyptian folding chair and a Roman folding stool. The chair was created to replicate a throne and made its first appearance during the inaugural ceremony by the Spanish royal family at the exposition. The chair exudes grandeur and class and at the same time it is light and strong. The Barcelona chair is considered by common consensus to be the pinnacle of a harmonized approach to materials, design, and workmanship.

In 1950, the original design was improved upon by Mies which resulted in a fully welded object in which additional braces at the welding points were eliminated. The one-piece frame made of stainless steel offered higher strength and spring.

In the United States, the design was popularized by George Nelson. The chair was originally hand-made but was subsequently mass produced and marketed by the company, Knoll Associates, which now manufactures it in the U.S and 29 other countries.

Two connected pairs of crossed steel bars constitute the framework of the chair; the front and back legs of the chair are curved, the back legs cross the front legs to form a double curve that supports the seat. Foam-rubber cushions are covered with buttoned leather and placed on the seat and the back by means of saddle-leather straps.

The Barcelona chair is sold by various furniture stores; several of these have online catalogs, which a prospective buyer can browse through. Although, there are several renditions of the Barcelona chair available in the market, they are usually made from chromed stainless steel with the single-piece frame being hand-buffed till a mirror finish is achieved. The upholstery consists of individual leather panels, 40 in number, which may be hand-welted and hand-tufted. In order to maintain the uniformity of appearance and texture, the leather panels are crafted from a single hide. The most favored colors are tan and black.

Even though the Barcelona chair has a modular look that suggests mass production, its craftsmanship requires all the virtues associated with a handcrafted masterpiece. The Barcelona chair is a piece of sculpture and finds extensive use in waiting rooms and foyers. This piece of luxury furniture can cost upward of $ 1000.
