Private equity investment company Avista Capital Partners, acquired cable operator WideOpenWest, more popularly known as WOW, from Boston’s ABRY Partners and Stamford’s Oak Hill Capital Partners.
Avista Capital Partners’ affiliate, David Burgstahler, said that the company was pleased with the newly appointed partnership with WideOpenWest. Burgstahler likewise said that WOW is the best choice for Avista because it believes in the cable operator’s excellent performance and persistence in the cable industry. One other thing that sealed the deal for Avista was WOW’s positive attitude towards various opportunities that has allowed the company to continuously grow. Burgstahler and the rest of the firm believe that collaborating with WOW’s administration group is the best way to come up with exceptional service for consumers; a longstanding trademark associated with WideOpenWest. As a cable TV, Internet, and telephone services supplier, WOW, reaches an extensive population of about 1.4 million households in the areas of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan. Chief executive officer and president of WideOpenWest, Colleen Abdoulah, stated that the company’s partnership with both ABRY and Oak Hill were successful. She further reveals that WOW is thrilled to have Avista Capital Partners on its side, in its continuing pursuit of business excellence. Abdoulah also happily shared that the deal meant more improvements for both the consumers and company workers, while keeping its commitment of offering the best-valued quality services.
